Question:
Once goal weight is met, if one is an active exerciser...does one have enough
intake of calories to support that increased expenditure of calories through exercise? Seems like if you exercised a tremendous amount, your body might not be taking in enough calories to retain stamina and strength? — Julie P. (posted on February 6, 2000)

Hey Julie:
I believe it is true that if you exercise a tremendous amount, you may not
take in enough calories to sustain your goal weight. I don't think it
would be too hard to eat more calorie dense foods to make up for it. You
would have to monitor your calories more closely and adjust if your
exercising decreased for any reason. I would love to have that problem as
I am still not exercising much due to arthritis pain. (RNY 9/99 68 llbs
