Question:
Anyone had revision from Staple line ?

I had open rny 08/2000/ recently got sick ,Very very bad constipation and stomach pain,and saw a second surgeon and he says my staple line is coming loose and i need to be transected? i am awaiting approval now. But what can i expect? my 1st surgeon says the risk are alot higher,that was why he did not transect and he says he won't,that's why i found another doctor(Dr Roe in MARYLAND)because my first doctors says he won't transect?    — sauniee (posted on August 3, 2005)

Many, many of us have had revisions due to SLD (staple line disruption). Although there are revisions lists, on the Grad list, there are dozens of us who have been revised with this issue and doing fine now. Here is the link: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Graduate-OSSG
