Question:
My pre-op ultrasound shows NO left ovary, a fatty, enlarged liver, enlarged spleen,
Where did my ovary go? I see many of us have a fatty liver (makes sense), but how about the enlarged spleen? I'm having no luck getting the md's to state if this is of any significance (or even talking to one!) — jan O. (posted on February 16, 2005)

The MO can store fat in most of our internal organs, so if you have an
enlarged spleen, it may be the same deal as with the liver. We hear about
the liver more because it lies so close to the stomach where the actual
work will be going on. I would definitley want some answers about the
missing ovary. It may be that you were born that way, but I'm assuming you
have been to the OB before for at least checkups and they should have
caught it, esp. if you've had kids.
