Question:
Can we take tylenol arthritis pain formula for arthritis pain
Hi, I was wondering if we can take "Tylenol Arthritis Pain" extended relief caplets. I know you take two every 8 hours. I know we can take the regular tylonel capsules but can we take these. Am having alot of arthritis pain and was going to give these a try. Thanks — Maureen C. (posted on January 22, 2004)

What are the active ingredients in that? Acetaminophen (tylenol) is fine,
but I guess it depends what else is in it.

I've taken it several times and had no problems. It may not last the
entire time as it probably is a type of time released medication. Those
don't seem to work as well on us post ops.

I was told we shouldnt take the extended release caplets... not sure why
not, but thats just what I was told. But tylenol is ok to take. :-)

Yes, we can take the extended relief but... our stomach doesn't digest
anything the way it used to. Tylenol in any form is o.k. Just don't take
too much. I used to take migrain medicine before surgery, but since then I
have to take tylenol for regular aches and pains plus taking tylenol 8-
hour to keep my migraines away. I don't feel the meds for 8 hours, but I
haven't gotten a migraine either. Tylenol is the ONLY o.k. pain reliever...
But, yes our docs tell us that the extended release tablets won't help us
much. But, they do help me with the initial pain and the extended pain.
Good Luck!!!! Only aspirin will hurt us.... and I took it in pepto bismol 2
times in the same day before I learned it had aspirin in it... And, I'm
still around!
