Call around to different hospitals in your area, see if they will honor your ins. Call doc and seeif they will use another hospital.

Does your surgeon have rights to perform surgery at any other hospitals? Perhaps one that IS part of your insurance network? Can your insurance company tell you what hospital in the area is available to you? If the doctor is part of their network then there must be a hospital nearby where the surgery can be performed (at least you'd figure there would be. What good is a network surgeon without a network hospital?). Call your insurance company. Ask for an explanation. Make them tell you what your alternatives are at this point. Best of Luck & Hang In There.

Hi, The hospital you are going to and seeing the surgeon at, should have told you what ins. they accepted before doing all of the necessary tests and other stuff. I would call your surgeon since he accepted your ins at first and ask if he can do the surgery at a diff. hospital, cuz usually your surgeon that accepts your ins should be linked to a hospital that accepts it to. And the last option is to ask your surgeon if he can't do the other to at least give you a name of another surgeon in your area that can do the surgery, and let them know that you were already approved and have everything else already done, heck tell the surgeon you are seeing now to set you up with all of that with someone else if he can't do it himself at a diff. hospital! Good Luck to you!
