Been approved for surgery, surgery date set, pre-testing date set, now 3 days before

pre-testing get a call from doctors office saying insurance isn't accepted at hospital so everything is off. Well don't you think the doctor sould have known the hospital wasn't going to accept me.. Is there anything I can do now. Or is my surgery off.. Please help!! I was going to have the operation July 17, and was so disappointed all I'm doing now is crying..............
