Question:
Does anyone know where I can find....

I need a safe bleach for facial hair and arm hair. Does anyone know of any brands I could try? I am tired of looking like I have a mustache, and I refuse to wax my upper lip. No offense at all to people who do, it's just not something I would ever do. Also, the hair on my arms is really dark too. I would like to lighten that. Any suggestions?    — Carol E. I can't help you with a bleach but you may want to try laser treatments it's wonderful to get rid of excess facial hair permanately..

I don't know for brands, but there are plenty of creme facial/arm hair bleaches at walgreens, walmart, etc. You could probably order them online at places like CVS. My mom got electrolysis to get rid of her facial hair. I like the idea of the laser treatment better though... less painful! I know it's weird, but I shave my arms because I am SO pale and I have dark and thick arm hair. My boyfriend found out and though I was a weirdo and told me "let it grow out".... and he quickly changed his mind and said I could go back to shaving it, lol. If you don't want to wax and still are interested in getting rid of the hair (not permanently), you could use Nair too. Good luck!

I've used Jolen's Bleach (Turquoise Box) and found it a most drug stores. It is safe. I've moved onto Waxing and Epilatory myself because it lasts longer. I now epilitory (funky plug-in machine by Braun that plucks a bunch at a time) my arms, underarms etc. whenever I want, or I will wax if I have more time. In conjunction I am using Vaniqa- prescription hair growth minimizer (but just on my face).... May I suggest that if you DO decide to wax your upper lip- have a professional do it and have it done FAST. I did mine with with my Braun and dang- did it HURT.

I had a funny thing happen to me today. My face seems to be growing an abundance of facial hair on my cheeks and mustache and I hate it;and, I wanted my eyebrows waxed too. My eyebrows are very sparse as it is, due to the thin brows were the "in" thing back in the 70's or 80's...can't remember. Two different brain filters...she thought I wanted my whole eyebrow waxed and I wanted the "normal" portion waxed. I told her I shaved it previously -- I meant under the brow and she thought I meant the whole thing. Well, guess what...I have NO eyebrows now. HAHAHAHAHA She told me as I was on the table " I've never waxed anyone's whole eyebrow before" and I thought she was teasing. I said "you what?...the whole thing?" poor woman, she almost cried, but I thought it was kinda funny. I could understand the miscommunication and I don't really look that bad. Whoopi Goldberg doesn't have eyebrows and she looks just fine and other people don't have any due to diseases, etc. so why cry about it. This was my first time for any type of waxing ... yes, I will wax again. I'll be more explicit with directions though. hahaha Good luck on finding a bleach for yourself.

Personally I would recommend Nair, because it works, and you can find it doesn't burn like others. However there is another alternative, and that's Epil-Stop, they have both a spray on and a roll-on. I believe they are available at Target, you can check. Good Luck!

For Fathers day buy your husband a cordless norleco razor. Not only does it do a ilovely job on facial hair it does legs as well. There is no WOMANS razor worth anything on the market. You can kill 2 birds with one stone as the saying goes.
