Question:
My PCP thinks I may have Mono.

Has anyone here had Mono after WLS? I know that Mono effects your liver and after WLS surgery your liver has to work harder. My PCP says he thinks it is from losing weight quickly and being run down. Mono is a viral infection, not something you can get just from being run down and tired. I had a light case of mono a while back, and they gave m antibiotics. It lasted a few weeks, but I wasn't bedridden - just tired. Do you have any swollen lymphnodes? That is a sure sign of it. Also, how did your doctor diagnose this? Did he do a blood test? The only realy way you can tell is if you have blood drawn. If you haven't, then I think he is jumping the gun.
