Anthem bc/bs ppo Wants a 12 month physician monitored diet Is there any way around th

I totally qualify except proof of this 12 month diet. I have four doctor,s that will write letters on my behalf- would this help or is it a waste of time? I have been on 12 mo. diets with doctor's in the past but getting records seems impossible. I was turned down twice by cigna last year but didn't fight it ? i would have done the diet all last year with my doc. if I had known. desperate and beyond discouraged? any hope out there? in PA>    — blank first name C. My BCBS of ND required a certain # of months of physician supervised diet in the past 12 months. I think it was 4 months, but it may have only been 3. whatever it is, get started today, it is worth it!

I have ppom and I received the same response. I have no proff that I worked Years with Dr except for their records. So I demanded that they write me letters stateing what the tell me in my office visit.I usually leave crying!!! They would write one letter that really didn't help so i took it back to Dr and had him re -write it stating that I will fail rapidly with out this surgry. Get all the documentation that you can. I do know of a person who received the same letter and had no doc. and had to do a 12 month program. Don't get discourage.As the saying goes...." The fat lady hasn't sung yet" and neither have I!!!! :) Don't give up FIGHT!!!! Good Luck.
