Question:
I went to the doctor to have my thyroid and my blood sugar checked .

I did a fasting blood sugar test and my level was 180. I have just did another test and now I am waiting on my results. What I am wondering is, I have already been aproved for surgery(Apri,12) will finding out I have diabetes effect my surgery? I am so worried! Is there any way that this could cause me to not be able to have my surgery? God, I am so scared! If your tests determine that you are diabetic that should not stop you from having the surgery. My husband and I are having the surgery and both of us have diabetes. A lot of the people having this surgery have diabetes. After the surgery most diabetics can go off their medications within a short period of time.
