Question:
Fluid on the inside
I am almost 3 weeks postop amd I notice after the rest of my staples were removed yesterday that I have this sort of puffy thing under my skin on both sides of my scar.. The skin looks different there and it is raised.. My question is, I called my doc and he said it is probaly fluid under, and it would drain out, but my insicion is closed, completely... I had a c-section and had my insicion came open because of fluid behind the insicion, has anyone out there had this happen, and if so please give my some advice on how I can keep from having my scar come apart.. i had fluid on my incision and had it opened 4 wks post op about 4 inches.
i had to pack and dress it till it healed from the inside out. i had to
have it reopened last week. hopefully it will just start to reabsorb after
a while. watch it close for redness and signs of infection. dont wait too
long. its alot easier if you catch it early.
good luck.

Hi, I just wanted to let you know that I am 4 months post op and from day 1
post op I had a side that was swollen. It's still "swollen" the
last check up I had my doctor said it really was nothing to worry about. I
find it an odd looking thing because my tummy is getting smaller except for
this "bulge" to the right of my scar. Hopefully it's nothing too
bad but my doctor said it was just fluid that would be absorbed,
eventually. Just make sure that your incision isn't getting infected or
splitting. Good luck...Marni
