Question:
What can I do if I don't have a documented weight by a physician for 5 years straight
I called BTC today to get my appointment. They said I should have no problem at all except that I need a documented weight by a physician for the past 5 years. I have one for 98 and 99, but none for 2000 and 01, then she said 02 would be covered by my visit. What can I do about the 2 years I didn't go to a doctor? — Deborah R. (posted on July 10, 2002)

Did you have any pictures taken? Perhaps sending pictures of you at
current weight, at weight in 98/99, and pictures of yourself during 2000,
2001 would prove that you didn't do an incredible shrinking act? Just a
thought... Goodluck

Did you do any weight loss programs during those 2 years? You would have
had to weigh in for them and there would be your documentation. They need
this information for the insurance company to approve your surgery. Try
looking else where besides the dr. office. Think of any where you stepped
on a scale and it was written down. That should work. I hope this helps.
Good Luck!

If you have no documentation of your weight for those years, I recomend
that you simply write a letter explaining that you did not see a doctor
during that time and give them what you estimate to be your weight for each
year. I think that because you have the 98 and 99 records, you should be
OK.
