Question:
Does amyone have menu and portion suggestions for four months post-op?
I am four months out from open rny proximal. I have lost 92 pounds thus far and am thrilled with my results. I am looking for some ideas for good foods to try at this point, as I have been slow to add things and my diet is pretty limited. Also, please include the portion size as I have reached that stage where I feel like I am eating too much. While I realize that I am eating a miniscule amount of food, my intake had increased and I am faced with the fear everyone feels---stratching my precious pouch. If members could just give me a sample day, I would be forever in your debt. Thanks to all... — robin C. (posted on May 30, 2001)

My doc referred me to www.gastricbypass.com for their menu. After you
reach the site, click on the information for "patients only".
From there you can access the first month, the 2-4 mth and the 5 mth+
diets. However, I don't believe they list portion size.

We were told 1 oz portions 6X a day, no milk, no sugar.

I'm four months post-op and I eat 3-4 times a day; anywhere from 1/2 cup to
1 cup or more, depending if it is soup-like texture. I even ate 4 cups of
popcorn at once!
