Question:
Decided to have the surgery and pretty sure insurance will pay, what next?
I have called a bariatric center and the lady there told me that they had no openings until August 1st. She also mentioned something about sending me out information and papers for me to fill out, a week later I still haven't gotten anything. Any advice? What should I be doing to get the ball rolling? I would call to make sure they sent your info. If so, just try to relax
and wait until you receive it. Most of the best centers have a full
program you must go through to get to surgery. From the time I requested
info until I had surgery was 7 months but now that more people know this is
an option, it can take up to a year. It's worth the wait. Try to think of
it as a physical and emotional process - much like pregnancy- that prepares
you for your new life.
