Question:
How Do Meds Affect Weightloss?. Can allergy meds effect weightloss?
I've got severe allergies, and take Benedryl every night. The active ingrediant is Dyphenhydramine, wich is also the ingrediant that causes 'dopiness' and sleepiness. My loss isn't going very quickly, I'm 3 1/2 mo. post-op, and down 65lb. Do you guys think the meds can be affecting anything? Also, is it possible to feel gallbladder pain in my chest and in my upper left back? It's a sharp, stabbing pain. (not my heart, more like muscle spasm) — Danielle G. (posted on January 12, 2001)

I take zertac everynight and I don't believe it affects me. By the way what
diets have you followed in the past that have enabled you to lose 65lbs in
3 mo? You are doing REALLY well . I've got 18lbs to goal and my weight loss
has slowed to about 1/2 lb a week. But the way I figure it if I continued
to lose like I did in the past I'd disappear! You don't want to disappear
entirely! Your weight loss is great. Now for the pain , have your doctor
check it. It sounds like gallbladder. But I had Post op "pouch
pain" in about the same way. Always best to call the Doctor. God bless
you and keep up the great work.
