Question:
do you think a new doctor would accept anothers test results?

Last November i was seen at the Mayo Clinic IN mn for a weight loss evalution. I had all the tests done then and but had to wait for the surgeons appt. I had decided agaisnt the surgery so I cancelled the surgeons appt, but later changed my mind and made another appt to see the surgeon. Since it had been almost a yr I had to do all the testing stuff redone. I saw Dr. Saar and he felt I had some things to work on before surgery could be set up. I found out he is looking at least a yr before he thinks i will be ready, then i would have to wait for the insurance approval and then another yr till surgery. I have a condition in my leg that makes it so i have walk with cruthches. I was seen at a pain clinic and they want to set me up with a another doctor in mpls for the surgery. I love this idea because i want to have the duedonal switch which the other doctor doesnt do. do you think the new doctor would accept the test results from the mayo clinic? the tests were done in the last month.    — C. My Dr. accepted an upper GI I had a couple of years ago. All he really wanted to know (in my case) was whether I had a hiatal hernia (I do). He's going to repair it while my RNY is done. My Dr. does the VBG, RNY & BPD/DS all laparoscopically. Maybe I'm missing something...why is it going to take nearly 2 years? What is it you have to work on? If you would like, feel free to e-mail me at [email protected]. Good luck.

This is just my feeling I would not want 1 record from him! Because he already told you what he felt and what makes you think he won't tell them as well. It could be possible he may just change the other doctors mind by what he puts in your record or change the insurers mind I would rather start fresh that's what I did and got approved. I tell you this from experience not hear say. This is not to discourage you! But to open your eyes to the fact they put things in your chart that you don't even know they put in there. When they send it over to another dr. they will recieve whats in your chart and even if they release it to you, your new dr. may have questions for him and call and then he end up telling him anyway I would suggest cutting him off completely if possible you see you don't need him you have the pain clinic on your side.
