HI SHELLEY... YOU ARE SO RIGHT!! I, TOO, FOUND OUT THE HARD WAY THAT
EATTING CORN IN ANY FORM IS NOT THE BEST THING IN THE WORLD TO DO.
ALTHOUGH I KNEW THAT THE HUMAN BODY CANNOT DIGEST CORN AT ALL, I THOUGHT
IT WOULD BE OKAY TO EAT IT AFTER SURGERY. BOY WAS I WRONG!! PEOPLE,
PLEASE BE CAREFUL. ALTHOUGH CORN DOES TASTE GREAT AND WE ALL LOVE IT IN
SOME FORM OR ANOTHER, THE HUMAN BODY CANNOT DIGEST CORN AT ALL. ALL WE
GET FROM CORN IS THE GOOD TASTE AND WEIGHT GAIN. THAT IS WHY CORN
"COMES OUT" IN THE SAME FORM THAT IT "WENT IN." SO
PLEASE, BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU ARE IN THE MOOD FOR CORN. GO SLOW AND MAKE
SURE YOU ARE NOT GOING TO CAUSE YOURSELF ANY IMMEDIATE PAIN. LOVE AND
HUGS TO ALL....

I've had no problems with corn nuts at all. I don't eat an entire can at
once, of course. But whether corn nuts or corn on the cob, it's been no
problem. I'm 6 months post-op with a DS and had my first corn nuts at 2
months post-op. Maybe it's a difference in surgery types, or could just be
an individual thing. We all react differently to foods, right from the
start. I'd say, if you want them, and your surgeon hasn't told you not to
eat them, give them a try.

MMMMMMM - sooooooo yummy but did NOT agree with me after surgery, either!
I got violantly ill after I ate some. Nautious, vomiting, etc. Don't know
if it's the corn or the seasoning that was rough on me. No matter HOW much
my head wants em from now on, my pouch will NOT get any!!!

there's nothing wrong with trying fresh corn in small amounts (lots of
carbs). I had a half an ear of lovely fresh corn at about 2.5 months out
and had no trouble. I'm guessing a little tiny bit of anything can go down
ok, you just have to be careful...
