Question:
Is the lack of a menstrual cycle, headaches, & back pain enough to justify surgery?

The policy of my insurer is to pay for WLS given "serious obesity related medical conditions" just wanted to see if these would fall into that category. I'm fortunate enough to not have joint pain, diabetes, or hypetension...YET.    — adrienneg (posted on January 23, 2000)

My BMI was 42 and I had some low back pain and a family history for heart disease. Luckily for me I didn't have HTN or diabetes yet either. I didn't have any problems getting my surgery approved. Good luck to you!
