Question:
i have a gas pain now for 8 days on the lefted side

i take gas x and pepicd 20mg. it hurts all the time now for 8 days . i had it bad when i first came out of the operation and it lasted 4 days and than it passed now its been comming back and stays longer it is driving me nuts i am on soild foods now and it has been hsppening more now than ever ...someone please advise me    — Rose W. Please, call your physician.... you should not be in pain for 8 days. I'm sure they can help you.

WHERE on the left side? Down by your hip? Call your doctor at ONCE! Well, wherever it is, call him NOW. It wont' just go away if it hasn't in 8 days? Things you can list to tell him: have you had a BM? How often? What's it like? More pain, less pain? Were you diagnosed with diverticulosis pre-op? Have you had attacks of diverticulitis in the past? Call your doctor NOW.

Hi, Have you talked to your Doctor about this"gas" pain. Maybe it is something more serious, like an obstruction or a blockage. Please ask your MD about this in the event it something serious. I think the pain should not last for days or even for hours it should only be for a little while if it is truly just {"gas"). I hope you get better soon. Cheri
