Question:
Can caffeine cause this after two years?
I am 2 years 3 months post-op. All of a sudden, I have the "shakes." My blood work is fine, as is blood pressure, etc. I have had coffee since shortly after surgery, with no ill effects. Now, it seems that I am jumpy and anxious. Could it be a sudden problem with caffeine? Anybody else experience anything like this? — ZaZa F. (posted on May 30, 2004)

I don't think that caffene would just all of a sudden do that. Unless you
suddenly discovered double espressos. I drink a considerable amount of
coffee, and have not experienced this. You might try cutting out caffene
all together (gasp) and see if the problem persists. Rebecca 10/03/01

I too have this happen occassionly. I don't know but I suspect mine is low
potassium. At least I try to up it when this happens.

Are you sure it's not low blood sugar? I drink alot of coffee and don't
have this problem, however if I eat a meal that's high in carbs, I can feel
this way after a couple of hours.
