You need to have rashes, back pain from the apron. Otherwise you will have
to pay for the TT yourself.

Um, actually, Anthem approved me without rashes or back pain. I think they
went on how far down the skin was hanging. My PS sent in the pics and I was
approved for panni removal (no muscle tightening). They did deny the breast
lift as cosmetic. For the original poster: I have Anthem PPO, so I don't
know if the HMO would be so quick to approve reconstructive surgery. Good
Luck.

As much as we all would like to have insurance approve our reconstructive
surguries after WLS, it's just not possible for everyone. Do you have some
documentation of pain, discomfort, or other way that your panni is
impacting you physically in a negative manner? I desperately want a thigh
lift. My legs are just horrible- atrocious actually! But, I know that
it's not a medical necessity. The only pain it causes is pshychological! :)
So, what can I do? You can't make something up, so, you're just going to
have to self finance if you want the surgery. If there is no medical
necessity, then, you're at the end of the road with insurance. Sorry.
