Question:
Abdomen pain in lower right front area, what is it?
Its a least 4-5 inches below my belly button and a couple inches to the right. It just started this morning so I upped my water and took a lot of Milk of Magnesia thinking I had something blocked, but even will the quick trips to the bathroom (lot of action) I still have the pain. — Delores M. the appendix is on the left side, not the right. I get pains sometimes and
it is due to gas, not so much a need for a BM. I found out from my surgeon
that my intestinal anatomy is a bit unusual in that my ascending and
transverse colon portions are not where they are supposed to be. They are
bunched up together on my right side so that may be why I get more gas pain
on my right side. I would try removing some of the gassy foods from your
diet and see if that helps. Good luck and God bless you.

I beleive that you get the pain from an appedicitis attack on the opposite
side of where it is actually located according to the people I have known.

The appendix is in the lower rt quadrant and if the pain continues or
worsens you should call your doctor.
