Question:
Ever have Right Side Incision Pain - with almost a DENT in your side?

I have a dent near where my incision was on the right side of my stomach. My stomach actually has a hollowed area where the incision was. It also is the only area that experiences pain. Does it sound like a reverse hernia? Just muscle weakness after it was cut? Or do you have any ideas?    — SwissBeauty (posted on November 14, 2003)

Yes I too have a dent where my incison is on the left where my stomach is. Maybe when the weight comes off the rest of the stomach will even out. I have a sharp pain ever so often too. My doc said there will be a little more pain because of the camera and the stretching of your skin more in that area. I lost 15 pds in 10 days. Today make day 11, but I haven't weighed in today.

Yes this does sound like a hernia. As far as I know a hernia is just a hole in the abdominal wall; it will go in unless something pokes through it and sticks out. Mine used to be an innie!
