Question:
Has anyone had pain at the site where their drain tube was?

My Dr pulled my gastrotomy tube 2 days ago. It's really uncomfortable to lie down. I take a pain pill at bedtime and it wakes me up early because it is hurting again. I don't have fever and its not red. Has anyone else experienced pain after the tube was pulled? It really did'nt bother me too much until after he pulled it out. Yes, this is normal. I am about 5 weeks post op and still have some discomfort in that area. I spoke to my Dr. about it. He said its because they had to go thru muscel and it takes awhile for that to heal. You are OK! Good Luck
