Anyone recommend a Military Doc for Lap RNY

I had the consultation with a civilian surgeon here in Germany, but now Tricare has denied my approval after the first letter. My PCM feels that I do meet the criteria. So, now I am looking for a Military Doc that will do the surgery without my having to go through Tricare Europe. My BMI is just shy of 40 and I am having all sorts of problems due to my weight. hello, i just moved from germany about 8 months ago. i don't know which base you are at. none of the military hospitals there have a general surgeon that can do this??? call tricare and ask them if there is a military doctor in germany that can do this. also...if you have been denied by tricare call and ask them why. i was denied at first too, but when i asked why , it was for something so simple and i was approved within 24 hours once it was fixed. don't be shy at all about asking to speak to a supervisor from tricare. if you have a problem this is the best way to get things fixed. military doctors aren't like civilian doctors...you really can't pick and choose. also at most bases there is a very long waiting list, sometimes a year or more. so if you came to the states you would have to either stay for a long time or be able to fly back.
