Hi. It would be a good idea to stay on top of things and give them a call
in a few days. Keep calling until you get your answer. Perhaps they need
more information or something, calling can hurry things up just a bit. Good
Luck

Marie, call the insurance company and ask what the turn around time is for
an appeal. Most places have a set amount of days they work in (it's a
quality indicator in most companies.) They may convene a group of people to
review several appeals at one time (and they may not all be for WLS). If
they tell you the turn around time is 30 days, it probably won't do any
good to call back until that time. It could be sooner than that, and you
will be notified. (In other words, if your appeal comes in and the appeals
committee is set to meet in two weeks, you will get your answer after that,
but if they just met, it could be longer.)Good luck!
