Question:
Problem after problem after the 6 month mark post op..

I have had nothing but problems since six months , I still vomit once or twice a week from nothing in particular , I get mild to extreme pain from anything at least once or twice a day , I still only have one bowel movement a week - sometimes still needing an enema just to get it , every month another food gets added to the one's my tummy won't tolerate anymore , and because of all this I am getting depressed again. Has anybody had anything like the problems I am having ? I've had these problems for 7 months now and they are not subsiding .... have I traded one hell for another ??? I had a barium swallow last year and they didn't see anything and am going for another in the next couple weeks but if they don't find anything there - my doctor suggests it might be permanent - how can that be ??? I have read quite a few postings involving constipation. Are you taking any stool softners like colace, senekot-s? I have found I have to take a 'colace' everyday with a 'senekot-s' every night. Now I am down to a small box of raisens 3times a week, with senekot-s 3times a week and colace everyday. The pains you are having could be from constipation since your GI series was normal. This routine has helped me, very rarely do I get abd cramping pains. Hope this helps. 5 mos post RNY.

Add on to my above post : yup I am on two different laxatives , a prescribed one and Metamucil in my OJ , and added whole wheat crackers to my diet for more fibre - and it still doesn't work right !!! (Becky)

Please remember that this is only my opinion. I am not part of the medical community. The man in the health food store recommended that I try Chlorella. You can read about it on the internet. I use the brand Solgar. It comes in capsule form. My husband and I are so regular as well as happy with it. It is a Janpanese product of the seaweed family. It is an amazing product for us. The first day is a basic cleaning out time. After that, all I can say is amazing.
