If your husband's insurance changes, let's say September 1, then as of 9/1
you will be on the new policy and will no longer be covered under BCBS.
They are only obligated to pay for claims incurred prior to the end of
their contract. If you win your appeal, but your husband's insurance is
changed prior to you having surgery, then BCBS is not obligated to pay, you
will have to go through the insurance approval process with the new
insurance company.
