Question:
With BCBS FL PPO- Has anyone else lacked a 1 year supervised diet been approved?

I have medical records from years ago w/ suprv. diet and I also wrote them my whole diet history and had all other qualifications ,including my recent pcps records since aug..My surgeons office said all looks good I called my ins. on Fri. and the rep. said she recieved all my info. and is now going to send it to medical review and to call back in 10 buis. days ...I guess I am just nervous and want to know if anyone else had not had recent 12 mths. and was approved any help would b appreciated thank you....    — marie M. Hi! I have BC/BS of FL Health Options (HMO) and I was approved w/out the 12 months of supervised diet info they "require". I was denied the first time for that reason, was able to dig up 8 months worth of a supervised diet and sent that in along with TONS of appeal letters from myself, family and friends. I had a Teleconference appeal set up and 1 hour before a Rep. called and told me I was approved. I had my surgery almost 6 weeks ago and I've lost 37 pounds! Good luck!
