Question:
Exercise for saddlebags (upper outer thigh)
I have an hour glass shape to my body, which i do like. However since i have lost 144 pounds, i have noticed my upper outer thighs are not going down. When i put on a bathing suit it looks really weird being it really sticks out esp. when standing still (will be wearing swimming shorts for sure!). I still weigh 220 and am losing much slower (surgery was 2/22/02). My question is, do any of you know of specific exercises for this problem area to help it go down? Any help is appreciated! — Tammy M. (posted on March 19, 2003)

Walking is great, it uses all your leg muscles and is also aerobic. I
notice a huge difference when I'm walking daily vs when I'm not. My legs
firm up well.

Lunges are excellent - I do them almost daily - not alot, just add a few
now and then. Also - Richard Simmons Tone & Sweat, this is a wonderful
workout that takes 20 minutes with the stretch bands - you can get it on
the web for less than $15. My friend and I started this and noticed big
differences in about 3 weeks, swear by it now.
