Question:
For those who've had Breast Implants after WLS.....
For those of you who've had breast implants after wls,...could you tell me how you came to the decision to do this. I've lost 170lbs, and I'm now an A cup, and kinda saggy. I know I'll need a breast lift, but really, there isn't anything to lift. So I'm contemplating getting implants just to make me a little bit fuller. Nothing dramatic. But the risks of hardening, and deflation are feaking me out. What made up your mind? Thanks. — Jennifer M. (posted on February 12, 2003)

Jennifer- I haven't had any proceedures done after WLS (so far)... I will
look into a TT after I am done with having kids- if my insurance will cover
it. However- I just looked at your site and see that you are fairly young
(good for elasticity) and are only 1 year post op. Your body will do some
tightening and moving of fatty deposits on it's own.. and perhaps before
you look into increasing your breast size, you should wait for it to
stabilize and see what they look like!? Just a thought. Lots of my saggy
stuff bounced back- and I am old. Boobs are just fat. We usually lose
from there first, but that's not to say that it's gone for good, you may
get some of your size back. If I were an A, I would be hitting Fredericks
or Victorias for all the wonderful (and lifting) beautiful bras and
lingerie they have and make the most of the situation- but then I cannot
stand big boobs because I cannot wear any of that stuff comfortably! So I
guess I have A cup envy :)

Breast implants are not for everyone; however, I was as they say a "36
long." I decided to have a lift and implants. I researched the
situation for quite a bit, and I found out my surgeon's wife had the same
type of implants that he was going to use in me, so I felt fairly confident
based on this. My breasts look great. I wanted to be more proportioned,
as I am pear shaped. I am now a 36 D, and this has evened me out. I now
have a nice hour glass shape. You have to make the final decision, but I
know they make me feel great!

I had a donut lift and implants. I love the look. I was a rolled up and
still just a b cup. I have never had tiny breast, but with the weight loss
I had no volume. I am now a D cup again and I love it! They look
"right" on me.

I had my arms done (brachioplasty(, breast augmentation (implants) and a
lift and couldn't be happier. I went from a full C cup to a very deflated
B and was not at all happy with how my breasts looked as I lost the weight.
I decided to have C implants and now have beautiful D's and the lift got
me from a 'low-beamer' as my daughter says to a 'high-beamer'. My breasts
are lovely now. Full, firm, shalpey and very natural. I've lost 122
pounds and am 10# from my goal. I'm currently wearing a size 12 from a
skin tight
26 1/2. I'm also having a lower body lift on March 3rd and will be a size
10 afterwatd. Body image is very important after a major weightloss. If
you want it, then I say, save up and go for it. You only live once!
