Question:
Am on a plateu for about a month now and having a hard time,
Am having a hard time with the protein. Am starting to hate the shakes and wished there was some sorta of pill version of protien I could take to make it easer for me during the day. I can't tolerate allot of meats. I really don't like yogurt. Please help!!!!!!!!! I started at 265 and am now 195lb but losing that weight was from the first 2 months due to complications from surgery. Hi, I was having a horrible time with protein, and fluids as well. I went
out and bought a Smoothie Maker ($39 at Target), and am doing great! I
have 1 smoothie/day which equals about 30 grams of protein. I bought a
bunch of protein samples from Vitalady and have been trying a bunch with
different things. One of my favorites is rasberry lemonade crystal light
with lemonade protein powder by Sci Fit Whey Protein, with some frozen
raspberries and a few ice cubes. Another one is Proscore chocolate protein
powder with either plain yogurt or lactaid milk, raspberries or
strawberries and ice cubes. The fruit really helps to mask the taste of
the protein powder and the texture. Another thing I do is use a product
called Amino 222, it's in tropical punch flavor. It has 22 gms of Protein
in 3 TBS. So I mix it with water, and add 2-3 packets of splenda and it's
a good drink w/ 22 grams of protein. Good luck!

I'm a little over 9 months out... down about 124 pounds - I quit doing the
protein shakes 2 weeks out. I know all doctors are different - but my doc
said to stop the protein shakes early so that I could get used to normal
food as fast as possible. Just thought you'd like to know
