Question:
What does Dh stand for? I know H is husband right?
HI everyone someone posted this question a few days ago and I didn't know where to fine answer so IM coping and pasteing what was asked. Also what does DH mean and what is tachacardia? IM new here and didn't know sorry. well here is the other question.....Can anyone tell me what happens to the portions of the stomach and intestine that will no longer be used after surgery? I'm curious as to whether they wither-up and die, or disintegrate or just hang-in-there with no purpose. Has there been any research on the possibilities of these unused organs harvesting cancer cells? thanks Celeste. you can email me at ancjordan@aol. — sunshineinjaxs (posted on January 6, 2003)

In most cases it means Dear Husband, although I'm sure in some cases it
could mean something else!! LOL take care

No remaining portion of the stomach does not wither up and die. It
continues to produce gastric juices that pass through the duodenum, mixing
with bile from the gallbladder (if you still have one) and eventually
meeting up with the food that has passed from the pouch into the intestine
- aiding in further digestion. (Think of the bile & gastric juices
meeting up with the food at the junction of the "Y")

Designated Husband works just as well if he isn't all that dear or darling
at the moment too =)

Hi Celeste....John hit the nail on the head with his response. The stomach
DOE have a pourpose, and a much needed one as he described. The intestins
are just re-routed....nothing will wither up and die because they all have
a blood supply, and a purpose...our anatomy is just "tweeked" a
little....I have found no supporting evidence of increase cancer risk d/t
the surgery...good luck, Keniki
