Question:
Okay, a definitive answer please ...
For those of us that keep track of the amount of calories we ingest every day, do we or do we not include the calories from protein powder/shakes in the total? I have been, and my calories seemed a little high to me but I think I read somewhere that we don't count them. So, which is it? Calories are calories are calories. If you are counting them to lose or
maintain, they must be counter.

I count everything. I know there are some that don't, but my nutritionist
says that a calorie is a calorie is a calorie, whether it comes from fat,
carb or protein. When you say your calories seem a bit high, how high are
you talking? You're six months out, and it looks like you've made excellent
progress, so you're obviously doing what your body needs for you to lose
weight. Congratulations!

I am 11 months out from rny - and I started counting calories again to
hasten weight loss - it is really slow now and with counting calories AND
NUTRIENTS - I was high on the calories and low on protein and high on
carbs. I intend to MAINTAIN my weight loss this time and believe counting
will be a great aid unless I have programmed my brain to not need to
anymore. To each his own method - I take the time to do this.
