Question:
Anyone have any ideas for cause of back tingling?
I am almost one year post op (Nov 15)and down 105# (to goal now). About four months ago I started to experience back tingling in the upper right quadrant of my back. It lasts about thirty seconds and then goes numb for a while. It is starting to increase in occurrences throughout the day. Could this be from the surgery? I have never had ANY back problems before the surgery. Any ideas out there? Thanks! — ravikamor (posted on October 30, 2002)

I think I know what you are talking about. The pain/ tingling/ numbness
that I feel I am attributing ot the need for a breast reduction. The stress
on my upper back and shoulders seems to be causing it?? Sound familiar to
you? Or am I way off target?

Hi there. I get that tingling also, as you described it. I wondered what it
was about. At first I was thinking a vitamin defficiency of somesort, but
as the earlier poster mentioned, I'm beginning to think it has to do with
my breasts. I came to that conclusion after beginning my research on
mastopexy (breast lift) and realized that the tingling and tenderness could
be associated with my pendulous breasts. I'm going to discuss it with a
plastic surgeon and see what he thinks. Best of luck to you. -Kim open RNY
