Anyone have any ideas for cause of back tingling?

I am almost one year post op (Nov 15)and down 105# (to goal now). About four months ago I started to experience back tingling in the upper right quadrant of my back. It lasts about thirty seconds and then goes numb for a while. It is starting to increase in occurrences throughout the day. Could this be from the surgery? I have never had ANY back problems before the surgery. Any ideas out there? Thanks!
