Question:
Anyone have trouble with calcium pills...????
Every time I take calcium pills I get diariah horribly. I had a hysterectomy in 98 and was told to take them since then but still couldn't now it's even worse after this surgery. Is there something else I should be taking with them to help? It's bad enough you have to take vitamins everyday too. I need help!!!! — freeddove40 (posted on July 30, 2002)

I went thru this right after I was "spayed", too. I'd had a
tubal at 25m, hystie at 31. When I got together with my new man, we
considered building our own baby together, which was just nuts as we also
had 2+2, like you. FORTUNATELY, the urge passed, as it would NOT have been
the right thing to do. It was just the early-lust-love stage talking.
WHEW.

Well, THAT was interesting. Do not answer questions while 2 people are
talking to you. Right answre, wrong question. The answer to THIS question
is another question. What kind of calcium are you taking NOW?

Have you tried Tums EX? It is a great calcium supplement and doesn't taste
too bad. I have never had the experience with diarrhea though. Good luck.

I have diarrhea from taking the calcium as well. I am preop so it isn't a
huge deal right now if i don't take it but I don't know what I will do
post-op. If you find a brand you can take let me know.

I found liquid calcium. 1 tsp added to water and your good to go. There
are various flavors and it goes down easy. It can also be added to shakes
or milk. Originally I found it at Whole Foods. Since then I have seen it
at the hole in the wall health food store. You might want to try that.
