Question:
Why do you sappose it cost so much more to have the surgery

I noticed that in some parts of the country members of this site say they pay from $12,00 to $l6,000 self pay . Here in Northern Calif. I was quoted $55,000 for self pay for a D.S procedure. I was shocked at the cost as well but I tell you what - it was the best $30,000.00 I've ever spent. I'm 3+ months out and not sure how much I've lost because I don't weigh but I measure...I've lost over 3 feet in total inches and I'm feeling a bit stronger each day. But yes, I was shocked. I thought it was going to be $2,500.00 but when I got the bill from the hospital - they charged me $4,700.00 additional to RELOAD THE STUPID STAPLE GUN DURING SURGERY. I called to question it and they said it was "normal". It's nuts but again, well worth it to get my life back. Good luck to you.
