Question:
Can this mean a leak?
I am 14 days post-op, and have absoutely no energy. I am SO tired all the time, and am not losing any weight. I don't even feel like inches (i haven't measured). My clothes are just as tight as always. At support group they said being tired could be a sign of a leak. I'm just curious if it could still be the anesetic in me? — candymom64 (posted on May 16, 2002)

I was also very tired the first month following surgery. I called my
surgeon with my concerns and was told that I should drink more water and
some juice. Also you have to understand that you are now eating MUCH less
than what your body has been used to. You are having to use stored fat for
fuel now in addition to the food you eat. It takes a while for your body
to adjust back to normal. Have comfort in the fact that this happens to
almost everyone. But I would call your surgeon just in case there is
reason for concern, at the very least it will help calm your fears. I wish
you the best of luck!!!!
