Question:
How to adjust?
Ive recently been put on another shift at work. I am now on 3rd. My whole routine seems to be screwed up. Im afraid I wont be able to stick to my regimen of water, protein, etc. because of this change. Its just seems harder to get in the swing of the new routine. Have any of you had this problem, and how did you adjust? Did it take extra measures to make sure you still did what you were supposed to? Thanks! — Kerry P. (posted on April 30, 2002)

I can relate. I work 12 hour nights. 3 on 4 off, then 4 on 3 off. Since
during my work week, I am either working, commuting or sleeping, I have
found it a challenge to ensure I keep my regimen correct. Especially since
I revert back to a 'normal' schedule on my days off to be with my family. I
think it takes a few weeks to get it tuned just right but I now feel pretty
comfortable working the regimen around my weird schedule. What I have done
is to just count the time I get up in the afternoon as my morning and then
just treat the rest of the day as if I was home. If you want someone to
bounce ideas off or just need someone to talk to, please email me at
