Question:
I have CIGNA HMO, need help with an APPEAL LETTER for WLS

I'm needing samples of APPEAL LETTERS FOR WLS. I have CIGNA HMO and understand they can be very difficult to deal with. I could have surgery by the middle of April if I can get approval from CIGNA. Don't want to depress you, but I too have CIGNA HMO, and they are SOOOO cheap that I almost died earlier this year because they didn't want to pay for an abdominal CAT scan to diagnose my appendicitis. My opinion: get another carrier!!! I had WLS last year under a different insurance.

I have Cigna HMO, just had my surgery. Unfortunatly, my doc and them parted ways. But they did approve me in 1 week, and that is without all my medical records (long story, but somehow my daughters records were sent instead of mine). Anyway, I chose them because if you look at the insurance page of this website, many many people have had good luck with them. I have never had any trouble from them. I have, on the other hand, had trouble with doctors and hospitals who don't want to stick to thier agreement with Cigna.
