Question:
How long after surgery did you get a hernia or a leak?

I was just wondering, for everyone out there who has had a hernia or a leak,.....how long after surgery did you get this. Basically what I'm trying to determine is, when abouts someone should consider themselves out of risk for these complications. Thanx a bunch! HAVE A NICE DAY!    — Jennifer M. I haven't had an experience with a leak thank goodness, but my doctor discovered a hernia at 6 months. I followed all of the lifting restrictions but still ended up with one. Grrr!

My leak showed on a swallow test two days post-op. I'm 8 weeks and still waiting for it to close.
