Question:
What are Blood Gases??
Hey there, I have no idea what this is, if it's a test or, something else, not a clue! I read somewhere that someone had this done, or whatever, anyway,it had to do with blood gases?! If someone could fill me in on what this is, that would be GREAT!! Thanks so much. :) — Jennifer M. (posted on November 11, 2001)

They are checking the O2, CO2, and PH levels of your arterial blood.

It's basically a blood test. The details of my test are in my profile.
You might want to take a look.

It's a blood test where they take a needle and stick in an artery
(typically the wrist) to measure oxygen levels. This was BY FAR the most
painful test I had done out of my pre-admit testing. They did NOT numb my
wrist and I almost passed out when my vein rolled and they had to stick me
2 more times!!
