What are Blood Gases??

Hey there, I have no idea what this is, if it's a test or, something else, not a clue! I read somewhere that someone had this done, or whatever, anyway,it had to do with blood gases?! If someone could fill me in on what this is, that would be GREAT!! Thanks so much. :)
