Question:
Will anyone in Ala. w\united health choice plus\w exclusion please reply?

I have this through my husband's work. It is a small company with less that 12 empl. His boss doesn't know anything about the policy, so I am on my own. They have denied a consult. but I think I went through the wrong channel for that. Somebody please tell me there is hope for the ins. to pay. I am at whits end. I have been like this for too long. Hi Sherri, I too, have UHC/HMO in Ohio and they will NOT even discuss weight loss surgery, or anything to do with it. Is there an open enrollment period where your husband works where he could change insurance? If not, he can check with someone in his employment that handles the benefits and see if they would be willing to attach a "rider" to the plan which would tell the carrier that the surgery is acceptable to the employer.
