Question:
I have a pain on the upper left side of my incision.....
I am about two months out, and have a pain on the left side of my incision, not on the incision itself. I've had to drive long distances this past week , and I'm wondering if this could simply be a pulled muscle from the driving? Thanks for ant comments...Donna in AL — Donna S. C. You are probably right. It could very well be from sitting in a confined
place like behind a steering wheel. But if it were I; I would call the
doctor and discuss it with him (or her) just to be on the safe side. In any
case it will help relieve your fears and anxiety over it. Better to be safe
than sorry A new friend Claudette from Taylor,MI

Hi Donna- I also had my surgery open a week after you did, and I am now
experiencing pain in the upper left side of my incision. It hurts bad when
I lay down or turn in bed or regular movements, I called my doctor and he
said the instruments they use to keep us opened up during surgery can make
us sore and it is easy to pull a muscle, and he told me that is what
happened to me, as it sounds with you. He told me Tylenol will help, and it
relieves some of the pain...I just cant wait for it to go away! Congrats on
your weight loss so far! I am down 57 pounds....forever! Good luck to you!
