Question:
Has anyone continued taking Glucophage immediately after surgery?

I take Glucophage for Type II Diabetes. It's done well to control the diabetes but really does a number on my stomach. I can't even begin to imagine taking it on a newly stapled stomach. OUCH!!! I took 2 Glucophage a day, and 500Units of insulin a day. I took 22 bottles of insulin a month. I haven't taken any insulin, or Glucophage since surgery. I'm 5 months post-op and weigh 137#. My goal weight was 140. I am cured from the chronic pancreatitis that I was dying from before surgery. It is wonderful to not have to take my blood sugar 4 times a day. I love my new health, and new body. Good Luck and God Bless You
