Question:
Has anyone had experience with this insurance and WLS?

I have a friend who is an RN working with Columbia/HCA. SHe desperately needs this surgery but is so discouraged that she does not even want to try to get it for fear that she will be denied. Has anyone had experience with these guys? It is a huge hospital system and they have their own insurance. Thanks    — Teri L. (posted on July 19, 1999)

I work at Columbia/HCA Medical city Dallas and I schedule exams everyday for Dr Barzune who is a surgeon that has performed the surgery on alot of employees with the columbia insur, I have also applied to have the surgery UI am in the waiting process... good luck and go for it.

I WORK FOR THEM ALSO AND HAVE THE CCN (PPO) INS. I HAVE CALLED AND THEY DID TELL ME IT IS COVERED ONLY FOR MEDICAL NECESITY A LETTER IS SENT IN BY THE SURGEON AND IT NEEDS TO INCLUDE DX,CONFIRMATION OF DX,TX USED,MEDICATIONS USED,PAST MEDICAL HX AND A PYSCH EVAL.
