Has anyone had experience with this insurance and WLS?

I have a friend who is an RN working with Columbia/HCA. SHe desperately needs this surgery but is so discouraged that she does not even want to try to get it for fear that she will be denied. Has anyone had experience with these guys? It is a huge hospital system and they have their own insurance. Thanks
