Question:
bacteria overgrowth

I had a gastric bypass 18 years ago and now for the past 15 months I have been on antibiotics. When not on the medication I have diarrhea, pain and mucous in the stools. Mayo said they feel that I have a bacterial overgrowth related to the GBypass. Have you any information on this matter. Thank you    — Diana S. (posted on June 14, 1999)

if you have been on antibiotics for 15 months my guess is you have an unbalanced colon. Try taking acidopholus or drinking lactaid milk. If you go to a nutrition store and ask them for something to regulate the bacteria in your colon they will know what you need! I do not think it has to do with your surgery. The antibiotics kill the harmful AND BENEFICIAL bacteria and when it gets to be too much you will be unbalanced internally. hope this helps!

I have a dear friend who after a long course of antibiotics developed the same symtoms. He had CANDIDIASIS, a type of yeast-like fungus. The antibiotics had upset the balance of helpful bacteria and this fungus in the intestines. I know that it is important to add ACIDOPHILUS to the system when you are finished taking antibiotics. Acidophilus, Maxidophilus, Megadophilus, and the non-dairy forms of acidophilus all have antifungal properties, reduce blood cholesterol levels, aid digestion, and enhance absorption of nutrients. You can get more information by contacting my friend Bernard. E-mail me at: [email protected] and I will put you in touch with him.

Liquid colloidal silver is working with me to control the bacteria...better than antibiotics. Get it at GNC stores...or I order mine online at Sam's General Store at www.samsstore.com. I am amazed at how much better I have felt since I began taking the stronger pharmaceutical strength silver. It's an age-old remedy...that a lot of people don't know about...pharmaceutical companies sure don't want us to know because they can't get rich off it! Contact me if you'd like. Patti Williams
